How to Email/Send Large Files over the Intenet
Sending large files via email is a problem for everyone, not just StBarts. As Email travels through the internet it passes through several server locations. Each location has its own limit on the size of Email attachment. The industry standard is 10MB. Emailed one 5MB files to two people is a 10MB transfer and subject to bounce.
Available options are:
1) Create an new FTP account where you can upload large files to your own server and give your recipient a http:// link to the file via email. ($330)
2) Create a file upload system on your site where you log into your Administration area, and upload any size file. Then you copy the Http:// location of the file and Email the link to your recipient. ($440)
3) use a 3rd party company to send large files (usually FREE)
NOTE: There are numerous options on the net that do offer identical services for free. A quick search should show many of them.
