New SiteNinja Features for the Week of May 7th
Every week that we have significant updates to SiteNinja, we'll be posting an update detailing the latest features and how you can manage them or upgrade to them.
To get the latest changes to SiteNinja, please request that an update be run on your site by an administrator.
Side Column Management
SiteNinja now allows an administrator to manage all side column content. Side column sections can be rearranged to your liking, and new HTML side column sections can be easily added. To access this new feature, go the Settings and click "Manage Side Column".
In addition to rearranging the sections, you can also edit the blog and event sections to remove blurbs underneath titles and change the amount of articles and events that display in the side column. This added functionality gives you much more control over the length of the side content.
Site Search powered by Google
In addition to being able to add and rearranged sections, a site search has been added to the side column. This search uses Google's Ajax API to display results right on your site. The search can be disabled or moved via Side Column Management.
Homepage Banner
Added under the Homepage tab of the Settings page is the ability to add HTML between the menu and content on the homepage. SiteNinja's homepage displays a good example of how this can be utilized.
Additional Styles
Added under the Advanced tab of the Settings page is the ability to overwrite formatting without removing the original template stylesheet. This feature is intended only for advanced users with CSS knowledge.
