Compare Drupal – Top 10 Reasons People Don't Choose Drupal
"Although Drupal is one of the most popular types of open CMS websites, there are a few drawbacks that some people have noticed..."
When you compare Drupal to other options, it simply doesn't measure up in many ways. It is usually not the best CMS for small business owners, for example, and doesn't fulfill all of the CMS and SEO needs that people have.
1. To compare Drupal, you must carefully consider the features of the CMS platforms on the market and determine what's suitable for your goals. Managed systems can be more or less superior, depending on your long term goals.
2. Drupal doesn't provide a full hosted solution. It acts more as a toolbox for websites. In comparison to hosted CMS sites, Drupal will not manage your site in the same way as a hosted SEO CMS.
3. Like a WordPress website, Drupal doesn't take care of SEO needs out of the gate. These open source sites don't automatically keep your site abreast of the search engines, meaning that you have to do it manually by applying SEO plugins.
4. There may be hosting issues to consider as well. When you compare Drupal to managed systems, it is not as easy to host your website, particularly if you have several different domains that need hosting.
5. Most people don't have the level of expertise necessary. When you compare Drupal to other CMS options, you will notice that it takes a higher level of expertise to be successful. If you don't have this training, you may find it difficult to use.
6. You will have to hire a separate web provider. This only adds to the stress of running your website, which many people do not want to do.
7. Integration may be more difficult. Although there are extensions or plug-ins that are included with Drupal, they are not compatible with all types of programs, and might not be ideal for social networking.
8. It is harder to put all your effort into business. With Drupal, you must focus on managing the technology on your own. When you compare Drupal to other programs you will find that you spend a lot more time on this management rather than your business. This is key success factor for business owners that are less tech savvy.
9. The need for a separate site manager. As a way of offsetting the costs of managing the program on their own, users of Drupal might instead find a separate IT team to do the work for them.
10. Not ideal for small businesses. Without the proper monitoring system in place, small business owners might find this CMS program frustrating to work with.
These are all reasons people consider when they compare Drupal to the other myriad options out there on the market. For fully hosted and compatible CMS options, many turn instead to the services at www.Site-Ninja.com.

I think. We should use both platforms, wordpress and drupal – WordPress for some legacy micro-sites and Drupal for main corporate site. I think your comparison is on the whole quite accurate but it is definitely weighted in favor of WordPress which I think is a little unfair.
